Mark Breslin

Mark Breslin now serves as the CEO of the Engineering and Utility Contractors Association, (EUCA) a multi-employer bargaining group that represents hundreds of union employers performing billions of dollars in contracts annually in California.

Mark became Executive Director at age 26, becoming one of the youngest in the US to hold this position at the time. He has been chief executive, negotiator, and contractor advocate for the past 21 years. He has also served as a Trustee on numerous Taft Hartley Trusts.

Mark works with the leadership of nearly every major International Building Trades union assisting with strategic planning, business development, and workforce development, attitudes and values.

Mark has made presentations on labor-management relations to tens of thousands of labor-management representatives, business managers and agents across the US. Known for his blunt and uncompromising style, he has spoken to over 80,000 people. He has also received numerous honors from International and Local Unions from around the nation. His two books Organize or Die and Survival of the Fittest are in wide circulation in both the US and Canada. His third book, Alpha Dogs: Leading Yourself and Others is due in late 2007.

He graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Industrial Design and has since taught at Sonoma State and Golden Gate Universities. Mark lives in Dublin California with his wife Susan and three children.
